I can’t think of a better person to embody the meaning of the Tank than Angelina Jolie.
Whilst on the set of Tomb Raider in Cambodia her eyes were opened to humanitarian crisis’. Now she continues to increase awareness as UN High Commissioner for Refugees ambassador and is involved with countless other charities!
The inspiration behind the Tank followed the end of World War 1. Up and down the Champs Elysees you could find tank tracks imprinted in the snow. Thus the tank was born a true symbol of peace and strength.
The Tank Louis was designed and worn by Louis Cartier himself and as most Art Deco style pieces it is a design that seems to never age.
On all models you will see two straight edges on the bezel and rail road to dictate the minutes. These are the codes that have made the Tank the icon it is over the last 100 years. However, for me it is the white enamel dial that really adds a whole other level of class!
